Making a contribution to create a friendly community where people can share a dream and be inspired.
We will support the development of our region through sports and other community activities.
We will promote an open club that people of the community can depend on.
We will develop a team that can hold a place in the top league (J1) and compete for the league title.
The squirrel has been adopted as something of a mascot for Omiya City (which in May 2001 became Saitama City) and "squirrel" in Spanish was selected as the name of the football club (the Spanish word for squirrel is actually ardilla, but in order to make it easier to pronounce correctly, the club name is spelled ARDIJA). The name was chosen in the belief that everyone, from children through to adults, feels a familiarity towards squirrels and by extension, the hope is that the club will be universally loved and develop close links with the region.
The squirrel, which has been adopted as a mascot for Omiya City (now Saitama City), is also the motif for the Club Mascot. Ardy has orange fur, the same as the club color, and is a symbol of the close ties between ARDIJA and Omiya City (now Saitama City). The characteristic tail of the squirrel can be used to depict several different poses and express movement.
Miya was born to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the club. From her face to her build, her hips and her legs, she expresses femininity in every pose. Compared with Ardy, Miya is smaller in terms of her height, head size, torso, arms, legs and spikes.
